Lastly, I have a sample of my earrings.  These are just a sample of what I have.  These are all on hardboard and are recycled from different paintings.  They have a somewhat rough vintage look, about 3 inches including hooks.  They are attached by small safety pins but the hooks are sterling.  They're fun and will be $40 at the show. 

Here are the last of paintings for the show.  These are of different smaller sizes.  The 3rd one down is the only one on canvas.

Well the big day is almost here.  I install the show tomorrow morning. With the times being a bit bleak what better way to cheer yourself up then investing in art.  Let me know if there are any last minuet gift buyers.  All of the large works (all about 2 ft. by 4 ft.) are priced at $2900 at  John's gallery.  There are major concessions for friends and family.  Here are all of the larger pieces 13 in show.  I will try to get the smaller pieces up in a bit.  Thanks for your help.  See you tomorrow if you can make it:

Good evening, Here are a few more photos of some of the paintings for the show coming up on Dec. 22 at the Rippel gallery.  Come on by and say hello.  So far everything is still available.

I'll add some more tomorrow.  These are all about 2 ft by 4 ft.  All are on panels and have a wooden frame I made on the back that can be use to hang them.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kevin Patrick is a Santa Fe abstract painter. Using techniques gleaned from 30 years of design and building experience, he creates abstract works that are filled with expression and exploration. After earning his BA in Art from Cal State University, Fullerton in the 1980's, he followed many other professional paths but always found ways to work in creative fields. In 2011, he relocated to Santa Fe with his wife to work full time on art. “I couldn’t have been a full time artist 40 years ago, I needed to learn to get work done and follow it to conclusion. I have to start a piece and then work on it until it’s done. This can sometimes take a little longer than I want.”  Kevin has worked in many styles and mediums but enjoys the abstract style because it frees him to get to the source of the idea. “It is always just color, shape, and marks that are the main elements I build with. I put them together and it becomes the juxtaposition or relationship of these elements that completes the work.”  Most of his work is in mixed media but is dominated by acrylic paints. “Putting paint on canvas or drawing a line with charcoal is such a wonderful way to express your views.” Each time Kevin finishes a painting, he finds the ritual of constant painting well worth the time spent. “I get lost in the search, the hunt to find and put the images all together and make it work.”

I got a chance to work at John's gallery on Canyon Road here in Santa Fe this last summer.  It was a lot of fun and I hope to get to do more.

Here are some new works that are all about 2 feet by 4 feet.  I'm working on these for an upcoming show at John Ripple Gallery just before Christmas. 

I would like to thank all of you that helped with my first show with the Santa Fe Artists Tour.  The first weekend was successful for me in a lot of ways and it showed that there are lots people willing to help me with something I've tried to get together for many years.  Sandy, Deb, Doug, the Twins, Lisa, Diane, and for everyone who came to the party, and those who bought  paintings thanks again.  Special thanks for my wife Linda,  without her help this would have never happened.  It was all so wonderful.  Here are some photos of my small but full gallery / garage.
